What the fuck???
I try to be understanding of the poor Repos and their continuing failure to demonstrate any appreciation for what it means to be an American. But I give up. I just give up. Up, up, up, I say, and I'm stickin' to it regardless of the consequences.
The latest outrage in the Repo (Republican...) campaign, "Let's Make Sure Dey All Know Dis Guy Is Black," is a letter signed by 47 Repo U.S. Senators to Iran basically saying, "Hey, you might sign a deal with da black guy in office now, but he won't be in office fo' ever, so you better think twice before wasting your ink."
I'm sorry, but that's tantamount to treason. Throughout the history of the U.S., Congress has supported the president's foreign policy actions regardless of how they might personally feel. The point is not that Congress is a bunch of boot-licking Neanderthals--although that's not a bad description of the current Congress--but that when it comes to delicate foreign policy issues, the U.S. must approach the world with one voice. That's been the way of the land for over 200 years...until we made the unforgivable mistake of electing a black guy as president.
Let's face it. It's racism. Racism. Strip away all the FOX news inspired talking points and it's racism. They just hate the fact that a black guy--smarter, more clever, and better looking than virtually all of them--lives in the White House.
And now there's a video of a bunch of kids on a bus chanting racist songs. University of Oklahoma...where the wind comes farting down the plains. The U. President has said he'll probably--probably???--expel those morons, but what makes us think the same attitudes don't infect too much of our body politic?
Enough is enough. "You lie." "Hello, Bibi." And now "fuck you Iran." There is no reason any longer for Demos and liberals to pretend that the right-wing is anything but a seeping pit of racist infection. Are all conservatives racists? No. But I don't care to make fine distinctions any more. The Repo behavior over the past 6+ years has been inexcusable. And unAmerican.
When Republicans turn to treason, it's time to turn away from Republicans.
